Alarm goping off occassionally....HELP!

Using the fob to lock and arm my car when i park it up

The other morning i went to unlock with the remote and it did make an unusual beeping sound, got in the car and the light was flashing in the centre console. Anyway, didnt think anything of it and started the car up. Got home from work the same day and a neighbour comes over to say how my car alarm went off in the middle of the night. Then it clicked.

Today (again my car is locked as norm) and my alarm starts going off in car park at work. Again same noise when i go to unlock and start up.

Can anyone explain what my fault is and what the solution is?

p.s will it make much difference if my battery is a bit temperamental? The car always starts first time but will always reset the trip display, mpg, gallons used etc.

if there was a spider in my car, i'm guessing it could trigger off the motion sensors?

my clio did this, really random, would work for 100 or so blips and then the next unlock it would go off. had a new battery of the RAC when i left my lights on and alarm hasnt played up once since. maybe get battery tested?

Had this myself. Think one was that the handbrake wasn't on good enough (always park in gear anyway) and think the seatbelt retracting was something else I think (leaving it around the outer seat bolster and not pushing it back to fully retract)

Lol my van is full of spiders. I'm sure you don't really think that's the cause.

I had a moth flying around inside mine setting the alarm off!
