Alarm on Williams

Is it possible to mute the sound of the Alarm when activating and de-activing it from the remote?

its annoying the beep-beeeeeeep everytime unlock the car... and dont start the engine within 30 seconds and it activates again beep-beeeeeeep

can i mute this so its just the indicators that flash?

you dont say what type of alarm it is you have. If its a clifford then it can be done (relatively) easily.

its a cobra alarm

whatever the standard alarm/immobiliser comes on the williams

is it a cat1. Im sure I read somewhere that if the alarm doesnt beep when activating it voids the cat1 factor??!!

if the alarm beeps it voids the cat 1, it needs to be able to be alarmed silently for cat 1 status

ring an alarm place that does cobra with the type of the alarm it is and they should be able to tell yo how to arm it silently

on mine you press the bottom button followed by the top one to arm silently but you can turn the beep off completely its in the alarm manual sumwhere
