Alarm settings

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the way the alarm is set i.e set it without the motion sensors on say incase you left a dog/kids in the car or something....

I have a MK1 172 the inside motion sensors do not seem to be working, i have checked the handbook and there does not seem to be anything in there about it.

mine came with a little book for the alarm. You can change the settings to what you describe.

You can set it without the motion sensors on so you can leave the windows open etc, turn the ignition on and off twice before leaving the car, when you lock the car/set the alarm it will bleep three times to confirm that its worked.

That is assuming that they put the same alarm on the 172 as the 1.6

I have the standard alarm that comes with the year 2000 clio 172 thanks Stubod i will give that a try.
