alarm system on 182

Can someone tell me what system is fitted as standard and is it any good???



I know it may have been asked before but any help is really good people...

If i remember correctly its a Cobra system. Cant tell you if its any good as I have no basis for comparison

the 172 had a cobra 3868 i believe, think the 182 is the same

Its a Cat 1 approved one. It has it weeknesses but its good enough for the insurance people.

Ive not going to advertise them all (theres not a huge list and there not dangerous problems)

Biggest thing is its sensitivity the sensors in the car on the pillars are very picky, opening the air vents with them angled the wrong way and it will set the alrm off (the sensativity can be turned down by Renault though under warently).

The other major problem is that most Renault dealerships dont know how the alarm works so they arnt very good at fixing it.
