Alfa Romeo 156 Detailed

  Clio 197 RB
I had yesterday off and was asked by my girlfriends brother to do his Alfa.
The car is coming up to 10 years old and the paintwork wasn't too bad, but it was covered in stone chips and bird poo etching.
Anyway here's what I did ( Sorry no before pics, I started early and completely forgot to take any).

Firstly the wheels were sprayed with Auto Finesse Imperial and left to dwell for a while.
The body work was sprayed with Auto Finesse Citrus Power and again left to dwell.
I went back to the wheels and agitated the dirt with a wheel brush. The tyres then sprayed with Megs APC and agitated.

Car then jet washed and washed using the 2 bucket method, Auto Finesse lather and Megs Lambs wool wash mitt.
Dried and then Clayed.

Rewashed and dried, then I began the polishing stage.
DAS-6 Pro used with Menzerna polish and Chem Guys Hex Logic Pads.
Once I got the desired finish, I then used Prima Amigo Glaze to hide some of the deeper swirls and improve the gloss.
Then Zaino Z2 used as LSP.

Tyres finished with Megs Endurance and trims with Auto Finesse Revive.

Here are te pics.

Whilst I appreciate you've done a good job (excellent in fact, well done!) I hate the word detailed. You haven't detailed it. You've washed the car and corrected/polished/protected the paint.

If you'd have detailed it, you would have had the wheels off, done the engine bay, polished that filthy exhaust and spent a day on the interior...

But like I say, I don't want to detract from the job you've done because the car now looks superb.

You're already married, right Daniel?

Looks good. If I may add to the process, tar and iron removers will make your claying sessions a hell of a lot easier. Not to mention safer.

Think you need a good f**k Daniel. ;)
but thank you for telling me the difference between a detail and car cleaning.

Looks superb. Really should have taken more shots, especially the bonnet. Blacks cars always look like glass when cleaned well.

Great choice in products I must say.

I will hopefully be doing my dads Vauxhall Signum in Black next week so will try and get some decent pics.
The black Vauxhall paint has lots of flakes, so it should look nice.
