Alignment, what does the experts say?

So what does the experts say about this?

We need to do something about the right rear of looks of it!

The car is a endurance racer with nankang NS-2R sitting on BC DS where we have adjusted the caster as much as possible.

A s**t load of shims to bring the rear toe to 0 or a touch of toe out. Front looks fine, bit more negative camber maybe.

Yeah you could shim the rear to get it parallel if you wanted.

Should be able to get a bit more caster than that.

Well we had it down for maintenance and there were no shims from what we noticed.

Does anyone know how much 1 degree will do in mm:s an 16" wheel?

We might order some different sizes but first maybe just fit some washers and then take it to our alignment shop to see the difference.

About 7mm to get 1 degree on a 16" wheel according to this

Adjust rear beam so we got as close to 0 toe as possible.
Car is running on Powerflex Black series al over and Nanknag NS-2R 205/45 16

The race it self is 8h on various Swedish tracks with start at 29 of Mars.

3 degrees won't be a problem, but running more caster will give you extra dynamic camber under cornering.

Question is how we should do to get more caster?
Read about moving spindle forward in controlarms. Is there anything else we could do?

Might do that after first race.

So you have those 3 bolts facing towards the front? If so, then that is already set to max caster.

Have you got the increased caster lower arms fitted from the later 172 and 182? I see your profile says it's a Ph1.

Correct, bolts facing front.

We use stock lower arms from our car, a 172 made in July 2000

If you fit the later lower arms, that will give you more. Not sure how much, i'd probably guess around 0.5-1 degree.
