Golf was great. Luxurious, comfortable, quick, capable in the twisties. It did everything really well. But it just lacked character!

Couple shots from my 250+ mile road trip today, about 65 miles in and have stopped for breakfast.

Once I’m fully fuelled with bacon and egg, I’ll be back on the roads across the Yorkshire Dales. Some epic roads up here.

Recognise that spot, I've stopped there a few times myself to grab food.
Some lovely roads round there and the car looks great too!

Looking forward to giving mine some tlc and a service this weekend! It hasn’t moved for 5 weeks now :grimacing:

Great combo...How does your clio 182 compare to the astra ?
The clio was fully rebuilt and uprated everything so destroyed the VXR in the bends but on a straight the vxr was silly quick, was stage 3.5 and 315bhp with 365lbs torque. Clio was delicate, precise and capable whereas the Astra was a sledge hammer !!
