All this Trophy talk..

I was thinking... all this talk about the Trophy being a rare car. Well since Ive owned my 182 Cup Ive seen one and only one other 182 Cup, an inferno one, around Westbury in Wiltshire - I wonder how many 182 Cups were actually made? - probably less than 500! Anybody know if there are any other 182 Cups in Portsmouth?

It doesnt really matter how Rare Trophies are because to the untrained eye the 182, 182 cup and trophy all look the same?;)

Simon.

I live in Westbury and have seen the Inferno about a few times, a lot more RenaultSports around locally since the huuuge Renault dealership opened in Trowbridge but I take your point (as when I say a lot more Im still talking less than 10!), very few about on the road in real terms. Ive seen maybe 20 RS Clios in 2 years (30k miles) which really is nothing.

I think at least 50% of 182s sold were Cups, so there are going to be a fair few more than 500 on the road. Consider that there were at least 2000 172 Cups sold in a fairly short timescale, and the RS Clios have become more popular since then. I would assume there are over 1000 by a comfortable margin.

naaa V6 255 is still the fastest mate at 153mph.....;) but as they stop making the v6 soon, the trophy will at least be the fastest clio they make, then.....lol just a shame its looks so bland.....:D

The 182 (all variants) well end production pretty soon too, something like the 1.2 Extreme will be the quickest production line car come December :D

Seriously though Renault seem to have been pushing the V6 a bit lately (seen a few print ads about), odd considering production is winding down. It also still appears in the newest local Renault franchise brochure.

  LY 200

Iv seen a few 182s round my way!!!

I even see an imperial blue cloured 182 in athens on friday, thought there would be the same colours right the way across europe!!!

Simon........lets see then........did you read the test that suggested "I could see the whites of the V6 drivers knuckles........".

Point to Point......variety of roads? Hmmmm! Fastest yes......quickest......I fink nottle!

but clearly no competition in the looks department:sick:
