Alloy refurb Needed

  Clio MK 4
Any decent places around Harrogate, York or Leeds who can do alloy wheel refurbs? I've been to a couple body garages who do them but they ain't confident they can match the silver which doesn't make me to confident.

That is expensive - I certainly didnt pay that much for mine but it was a few months ago. I only needed the refurb on one of the wheels and the rest were just powder coated.

I thought this. But if thats what they say not much i can do. they do re-do them fully and they put back on car re balance etc.

I should hope so !!!

Can't you get them powder coated at that place near the airport. SAS coatings I think it's called. They charge a pound an inch or something. so £16 a wheel.

Just rub them down and filler them yourself.

seems a bit high, i was quoted 215 for all 4 wheels in anthracite with all balancing etc

Clio sport discount is 25% though and that was used on the above but still it would be about 280 without it for 4 tyres

Well, CS discount only applies to 4 wheels at TWS Leeds, and it's 25% and free tyre strip & refit. Same day service, and a guarantee for your work. Code is csyorks IIRC.

You could take them to any old cheap powdercoaters, but you'll need to sort getting the tyres off, wheels there, then tyres back on and balanced yourself.

Discount still applies Gaz.

Wheel refurb with tyres on and off = £160
Petrol to get there and back £30
Total £190

New wheels = £180
Selling curbed fronts = £80
Total = £100.

I know what i'll be doing!

For Genuine TVR wheels, that's a bargain. I'd snap loads up at that price, then flog them on to the unsuspecting!

No one makes Genuine ones any more Gaz. They are all replica's!

Most do sell at a huge mark up. Some companies sell them for £300 a piece!

i can get your wheels done for less than that, i had mine done around a month ago and it cost me less than that to have 4 done

Ah, that explains them being cheap then. TBH, the quality of some replicas is f**king shocking. Hopefully these aren't.

They are made by the company that made the OEM ones. They just aren't allowed to brand them as TVR anymore.

Do you mean CAS coatings on Victoria Rd in Bradford? They are a £1 an inch but they do also try and take all curb damage out themselves. You have just got to get your own tyres taken off and put back on.
