alloy wheel repair

well a month ago i was being a fag and done a handbrake turn. well some how the top of my alloy wheel managed to rub the ground leaving a 5cm scratch on the rim.

so i went to see about having it repaired to prevent against any errosion.

to my suprise somebody suggested rubbing it down with wet and dry, then using model air plane paint.

ive done the 2nd code and what a difference, not back to normal but its well protected and less noticable

However did your alloy touch the ground? Surely the tyre is between the wheel and the ground!!

You silly boy Ben! A little correction for you - the edge of the road or pavement is a KERB, so the word (commonly mispelt here) is kerbed!

no idea, someone said it was the profile of the tyres. just cos the car was leaning so much. anyway it happened and it has reformed me. never again will a handbrake be done in "my" car hehe

The only time girls talk about kerbing wheels is when we have noticed guys who have done it!! Girls wouldnt dream of kerbing their wheels!

my mate bought brand new £550 alloys for his corsa, his mum managed to kerb them within 36 hours hes now selling them hehe
