Alloys

Car  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Hi all
You'll have to excuse me i'm a newbie to cars.
I know this has probably been flogged to death, but are 17" wheels on a clio 172 mk II a good idea ? Will it improve or Degrade the handling ??
Application is Fast Road no Trackdays.

Seems to be different view points on this....

TIA for your help

Deano

not really a good idea, stick to 16's....17's c**k up speedo, handling and cost loads on tyres!!

as long as you get a light weight 17" alloys such as o.z. superleggeras, which are lighter than the standard 16"s you'll be fine and you shouldn't lose much if any handalling! & the speedo thing is debatable too, some people rekon it makes them more accurate & some say less.
