Alpine SWR-1022 or SWR-1042?

  RS Clio 182
Can anyone tell me what the differences between the Alpine SWR-1022D and SWR-1042D are? I am looking for a sub for A V12 mono Alpine MRD-M605 amp. Cheers

the 1022 has a single 4 ohm voice coil so can only be run at 4 ohm.
whereas the 1042 has dual 4 ohm voice coil so can be run at 2 ohm or 8 ohm.
to run at 2 ohm you connect the 2 coils in parallel. 2 ohm is better for loudness whereas 8 ohm will be better for sound quality. (i think thats correct)
