Alternator belt split. How to replace?

  Renault Clio 1.2 16v
Hi everyone

so just had a look in my engine bay and what i think is my alternator belt (whichever one is visible in the bottom left corner of the bay) has split in the middle and is frayed along the edges. I get the feeling it isn't going to last much longer. The car is a 2003 1.2 16v dynamique. There doesn't appear to be any tensioning assembly on the belt apart from a slot on the bracket the alternator sits on. Is it as simple as slackening off that bolt, whacking a new belt on and away we go or is there more under the engine that i cannot see?
any help is seriously appreciated
cheers
