Good Evening All,

Just a quick question, does anyone with a non-cup 172 on their alternator have a threaded hole on the mountings

Many Thanks

Yes, the main pivot point has a threaded insert for the bolt to go into.

is it possible you have a part number for an alternator with the threaded insert, as i have got a replacement valeo item matching the part number of the removed but the new one does not have this threaded insert

Many Thanks

Valeo alternator for an A/C vehicle is normally a 110A AI12VI300 IIRC

Are you talking about the pinch sleeve? That's supposed to be smooth as the bolt goes all the way thru that and it holds the alternator to the bracket
