Alternator

Is my alternator on its way out- the poxy batt lights came on today. i quickly checked the connectionz but all ok. funny thing is if you rev the car ( accelerating or at a standstill) to over 4500 rpm the light goes out for about a minuet!?????!!?Maybe where the alternator is charging enough to turn the light out!? is this a common thing on a valver??????

Take it to a garage, or even halfords and they can check your alternator free of charge.

my battery light stayed on when mine went, i think your spot on, basta*d to fit a new one!

ill do it myself as im a grease monkey anyway chaps! i just wondered if it was common on em!?

Looks like a right b**ch! if i cut a hole in the bumper and rad i might just be able to get a spanner in their!! ha ha!
