Well, what a coincidence that I was talking only last night about this with Scotty16v. Got a buzz this morning from a breakers who had a 2.0 F7R bottom end from a Williams with 42k on the clock. The guy claimed it had been sat on the shelf for months! The car is going in next Wednesday to have it fitted and Im having the bottom end delivered straight to the garage.
I know Ive not always been keen on going for F7R power, but this was too good an offer to turn down and is probably the best mod I could go for considering that I can use my exisiting modified head, cams and manifolds with the 2.0 bottom end. I hope Ill be well into ex-MatBrown/Adi territory now.
One question: can I use the 1.8 F7P ECU until I can get the car to Hill Power or another chip specialist for a upgraded 2.0 ECU? Cheers.
Im just getting the bottom end and starter itself, so will only have my current F7P bottom end and starter for sale. Its always had oil changes every 3-6k and if anyone wants it for a good price then let me know - can be seen running in the car before next Wednesday.
