Amg take 2!!!!

Ok so I was really happy with my e55amg over the moon to be honest, was going to be mapping in the next few weeks... Well that was the plan until a freelander tried to mate with the rear end!

Me and the misses were sat still in traffic when with no warning SMASH!!! Guy didn't even attempt to stop, witness said he estimated the guy was doing 50-60 but I will never know! He had his licence 2 weeks, and blew just under the limit on a breathalyser. My fiancé was hurt really bad resulting in an ambulance.

both of us are on the mend and the car was written off, you can't tell from the pics but the boot floor had folded in 18-20" but the car still drove home (with police escort)

anyway, got a payout after a week and today collected another e55 amg

its a slightly better spec with massage seats and dynamic seats (grip you in corners) and Harmon kardon speaker upgrade also it's a 2004 on a 53 plate which is weird but I will be getting a private plate eventually.

im going to fit my carbon spoiler and carbon splitter this weekend and also do black grill and all the chrome strips black, along with front tint removal!

Will be be changing the crank pulley and putting a bigger heat exchanger on and new supercharger pump and chip which should push me to 600ish bhp then it will be headers to make 650bhp ish

Happened on the 1st of feb lol new car today so 14 days isn't so bad, had a new s class as a hire car (which was shagged and went back after 1 day) then an x5 lol! This 55 feels faster than my last!

as for the neighbours one just said "they fixed that quick!!!" Didn't notice it was a diff colour lol

Sounds an open and shut case tbh, witnesses and the fact they were at a standstill, can't exactly say, "they came out of no where".

It happened on the sat, on the Monday they called me and offered £5500 to which I told them "no" lol, then Monday just gone they offered another figure and I said I wanted another £1k and they agreed.

yeh original was tanzanite blue, which is a lovely colour, very deep pearl in it but was only nice when clean (much like black lol) however I have a thing for black e55's and always kind of regretted not getting a black one. It will look much better murdered out hoping that I can start to detail it on Sunday and get it looking much better

Fitted my carbon boot spoiler today, removed the front grill which is in the middle of being painted and gave the car a wash tomorrow I'm going to get a start on detailing will re wash and also clean the misses car too (clc next to mine)

Stock don't expect much noise lol, the e was dulled down on exhaust note massively! You get a bit of noise on hard acceleration but it is just a bit, will be sounding proper soon though

going in for some work next week having the sbc pump replaced on a warrantee recall that hasn't ever been done, doesn't need it but its free and gives it a 100k mile warrantee on the pump then a few other things on the list too

Was my birthday last week and the fiancé got me some parts!


Before I fitted them I fitted the front splitter

Misses got me the alloy mb pedals, strangely the amg's came with black rubber ones, but these are much nicer

she also got me some c63 amg paddle shifters, the 55 has 2 buttons on the rear of the steering wheel, which just don't inspire you to use them and for some reason mb made them white which they then turn black/brown from mucky fingers....

The paddles are far from a straight fit, meaning the old buttons have to be taken apart and the new shifters then the circuit boards milled to fit the new paddles, it took me a good 2 hours to get perfect, but it's spot on now!
