Its the foot operated parking brake, ie the "handbrake".
As above it's the Emergancy brake you are supposed to use it when you park on a hill... Then to take it off you pull a handle and it comes off with a bang.... I never use it lol!
The he splitter was from America it fits really well and is well made
just found out a guy who works with my misses makes carbon fiber bike frames and said if I need anything he will make it for material costs, so I'm thinking of doing a load of interior bits

For a crap one yeah, probs about £10k for a mint one. If it was £6k I'd go get one tomorrow (seriously)

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find decent examples, I should know as I always keep an eye on the market as I'd like to buy one. The last decent one that came up was £17000 for quite a uniquely specced & conditioned estate. I've looked at a few for sale locally and they were both dog sh*t (around £10000-£12000 IIRC).
As above I wouldn't want to spend less than 9-10k anything less is probably a 2002-2003 (mines a 2004) and you will probably be looking as suspension replacement and brakes etc which will bring a 5-6k car up to 10k if done properly.
as for performance bargain or money pit.... I'm saying performance beast lol.... The only real expenses I have is fuel! It's not economical but then it's a 5.4l v8 with a supercharger, it was never going to be good on fuel, it handles well bearing in mind it's he weight of a range rover and it's acceleration is scary! Once I get it mapped and a pulley it will be even better, I have yet to come across anything that has upset me performance wise that is including c63amg's which I have to say there isn't much difference in the two pace wise!
At at the moment there isn't anything I would swap it for besides maybe a supercharged c63 which are a completely different level of crazy! And the plus side is no one really knows what it is! They just see a e class and assume it's not that fast!

and got her a new knob it's the newer version keyless go knob and looks a million times better
been saving some some money and will be doing exhaust headers and supercharger pulley along with a tune sometime before Xmas, should make it 600+bhp hopefully looking to do a 3k stall converter and LSD at the same time or just after and going to do a full set of suspension arms front and rear along with engine/trans mounts and rear subframe so it's all fresh and solid should hit 200mph pretty easy then

That's an insane saloon, love it.
personslly, I wouldn't bother with all the power upgrades it's more than fast enough now for the UK roads, 200mph seems like an unnecessary goal!
Does the new gear knob actually work in terms of turning the engine on? Looks great.

Yes gear knob works, turns engine on and off with keys in pocket
as as for not bothering with mods, that's just not me I'm afraid lol, headers are a must just as the stock ones are so restrictive, the car is basically stock apart from x pipe, resonator delete and baffles removed and c63's are an even match the headers will put me infront and with a tune de restricting the top end it should hit 204-208 mph....
jamie if you want to see what the c63 is capable of, make a trip to msl performance in Birmingham and speak to acid, I have driven lots of stupid power cars but a c63 with a weistec supercharger on it is by far the most stupid fast car I have ever been In!

I can't imagine how ridiculous a c63 would be with a charger on.
i am tempted to get secondary cat delete and map to get me well over 500bhp.
if msl were closer I'd have ready made a visit.
As mine is a PPP it has the lightweight forged SLS internals so made for the charger really

Its a lot more linear but the power is there from a standstill lol, didn't get too much testing done as it was wet on the way home but as long as I didn't stab at the power it was fine however a good kick on the accelerator will make the traction light turn in to a strobe lol. However there is no problems just driving it normally I.e through towns or just driving sensibly there is no difference.

Is that a garage built on to the side of your garage? Bit overkill.
