hi bud, thanks for the quick answer, yes i belive im running the correct cables and fuses, never had a problem before, put a dodgy copyd cd in the player, and it was quiet so turned the cd head unit up to full, and then the next tune came on xtra loud, and that was the end of my fuse!
in that case ur amp is clipping! u need to turn you gain on the amp down, what is the system? if u popped the fuse through current draw chances are the cable will not be sufficient
A melted fuse indicates a poor connection or 'point of high resistance'....
Check connections, then try again....
If its badly damaged then obviously replace it....
I've seen fused distribution blocks that have melted and actually caught fire due to a poor connection, its only when a dead short occurs the fuse will blow....high resistance can easily promote enough heat to cause fire, so check and double check all connections....
