hi guys, the fuse from my amp to my battery has melted, and when i removed it i noticed that its clogged the holder with crap.

Is there any way i can just chop the fuse holder out and install a new1?

hi bud, thanks for the quick answer, yes i belive im running the correct cables and fuses, never had a problem before, put a dodgy copyd cd in the player, and it was quiet so turned the cd head unit up to full, and then the next tune came on xtra loud, and that was the end of my fuse!

A melted fuse indicates a poor connection or 'point of high resistance'....

Check connections, then try again....

If its badly damaged then obviously replace it....

I've seen fused distribution blocks that have melted and actually caught fire due to a poor connection, its only when a dead short occurs the fuse will blow....high resistance can easily promote enough heat to cause fire, so check and double check all connections....
