Amp High Level Input - Alpine MRP-F240

Just a quickie, would the 'High Level Input' on an Alpine MRP-F240 4 channel amp allow connection into the back of the original 172 head unit? Also would the standard HU be able to supply a 'remote' wire to this amp?

Yes, bit of a pain to get all the wires to the amp though (assuming its in the boot). Can't remember which wire can be used for the remote, but its definitely possible.

Anyone else know what wire can be used from the back of the originl HU for the remote feed?
