Amp Power Lead Question!

  Clio 1.2 16v Dynamique
Where can i feed the power lead from my battery to my amp? In my old car i ran the lead from the amp in my boot, underneath the trim and carpet and then jus fed it through the same hole as the clutch cable and into the engine bay... but the same hole on my dynamique is too small to do this!!

Can anybody help me? Where have you guys thread yours?!!

Thanks
Renshaw

wat i did was run down from battery, and clipped it next to all the brake line hoses, there should be spare clips(was on mine) then made a small hole in the boot floor for the cable to run though with a rubber grommet. so all cables are hidden under the car and the boot carpet. sound as a pound.

Chris, I hope you have a fuse at both ends of the cable.

I would personally never clip anything to the brake lines, what happens if it rubs through, plus if something shorted the power cable out onto you brake pipes, how do you stop a car thats on fire ???? Well dodgy.......sorry.:(

no sorry, didnt mean directly onto the brake cables , i hooked them into the cable guides that run along underneath, there are 4 cable slots but only 2 where being used so i placed it on the furthest 1 away so no contact(sorry for pant piccy)

you only need a fuse as close to the source as possible

you only need two if you have a second battery in the boot

Run thw wire from the battery down the inside ov the wing so it comes out by the passenger door, then remove the Rubber seal around the door so u can the feed the wires under the carpet ov the car, then remove 1 part ov the back seat, so u can wire the cables through the back (were the speaker is) and under the seat into the boot, He preston job done, 10min job if u jno what to do.. no need to do it out ov the car..
