Amp Problems

Been trying to connect up my Amp for my sub, the earth & remote is connected & when i go to connect my inline power cable to the battery on the Positive, i get sparks and then the fuse blows on the cable, ive used about 6 fuses now and they keep blowing.

Must be wired up wrong then? Disconnect the earth on the battery before you connect the +ve, as this will prevent it from sparking. Then connect the earth and see if the fuse still blows.

Check connections at the amp end as well, check you have a good earth and that the amp isn't fooked.

Make sure Positive and negative arond the wrong way like I did! That blew a few fuses when i did it by mistake!

Just been down to my car and did what you said & ok no sparks now but nothing happens at all, i got 2 amps and both don't work, ive tried all different amp fuses, the earth is good too, i didn't wire the remote in, it was in the HU when i got it is there a right or wrong place it could be?

you are putting the earth to the power and vice versa, try the other way round maty,

Just went down there, tried that on both amps, damned thing still don't wanna know.

what size fuse you using?

Ive tried 5,10,15,20,25

put aload of insulation tape around that chop blok

its probably got something to do with that choc block fella, try getting a new power cable to run down your car

Also test the amp with a voltmeter
