Amp Wiring

Hi, wandering if u can help me! Am running a 550W RMS amp powering two 12 subs and an 80W RMS amp powering two 6x9 speakers. I have a 1200w wiring kit, would it be possible just to run one power lead and remote to the boot? Or do i have to have two separate power leads for each amplifier? Any suggestions?

if it is 4 gauge cable for the positive then that would be fine for both amps.

with the remote you should be able to take it to the first amp then put a link in to the second.

nope only put positive on purpose.

he could use two 8 awgs for the negatives as long as they go the same place

i wouldnt, id use at least 4AWG for the earths, they need to be as good as the power cable, the earth needs to be the shortest and easiest route

and i would also earth both amps to the same point or you risk creating a ground loop
