amp with stnd head unit?

just bought a 1.6 clio to replace the 1.2, Can i keep the originol head unit and plug my amp into it? i dont use cds any more so was looking at buying a ipod kit and dont want a cd player were if i leave the front in my windows will go throught. Thanks

yes you can but you will lose a set of speakers as you will need to use either the front or rear wiring for a line output converter
