200sx - £800

95 integra (not the type r, the 125hp one) - £2900 with the same company LOL!

clio 172 worth approx £8k £900

Focus RS 50+bhp more an worth £17500 and a Ford RS £650 a year!!

Work that out!!

yeah, the funny thing is... his dad wont let him have a 200sx cos he reckons its too fast... but he wouldve let him have the integra

and apparently a 200sx is cheaper to insure than a starlet turbo (£1400), and, get this......a 172 (£1900)!!

NO! lol it was the newer style turbo with 197ish/bhp, whichever one that is!!!!!!! the group 18 200sx!

Im in the middle of sorting my Insurance renewal this week

My first insurance was £1840 on a 1997 Clio 1.2 (3rd party fire/theft)

Second year was £1220 on a 1997 Clio 1.4 RT (3rd party fire/theft)

Last year was almost £1100 (160

0 in Jan when I went fully comprehensive on the 04 dci)

Now my ins is sitting at £885 - which isnt too bad considering this mad island

When I was talking to the ins people the other day I got a quote for a 172 - just for the sake of it

think they put it in as an 04 - £9k - same details for me as the current car.....

lol, yeah, its mad a group 18 200sx turbo with 200bhp could be half the price of a 172 to insure though isnt it. The integras price was due to it being an import, but still mad.

i think its due to the age of the cars, older cars they have more history on and more experience with, so something like the 200 sx or 300 zx if they have a good claims history will be cheaper to insure than an unknown such as a newer car for example clio 172/182 golf gt tdi etc
