I've got no intention of getting a PS3 but I can't help feel this isn't exactly a thorough or honest review.

I'd rather wait and see what what some of the established industry magazines/websites have to say rather than a journalist working for a big apple rag.

Have to agree with James aka dotGriffdot. Probably very XBox360 biased. I'll still buy one, no doubt, but it wont be until they reduce the price by a few notes. Its got great reviews elsewhere, but at the moment the 360 seems to be storming the games market and thats where the buyers money is going.

wat i thought, difference in graphs will be wat xbox was to ps2 marginal art best and certainly not worth a few hundred quid. Xbox all the way baby, plus gears is f**king amazing lol

tbh alot of people seem to screm xbox fanboy at any review that compares the 2 systems and tbh all reviews are going to be a fair bit biased due to the fact they have been playing on one of the systems for the last year

The game reviews on independant web sites and mags have been nagative too, the games on it at the moment are simply rubbish! It will be good, given time, and it will be successful, but xbox 360 is just doing things a lot better in all aspects.

How can it be biased when stating facts?

I mean you can't play a game whilst downloading a demo!!! There is no unified friends list and you have to quit your current game to access the master list? You have to connect the pad via a cable to pair it! Also the pads don't have removable batteries so after a year the pad won't hold its charge and you need a new one! You can't play your MP3's during games!

I mean that is horsesh*t! What the feck were Sony thinking?!? You don't need to be biased towards 360, the facts shame Sony perfectly well themselves.

Mix that with the fact theres really not much between them performance wise and the 360 is capable of doing better graphics on a system thats cheaper not looking great for Sony. Plus the 360 is likely to take a price cut in a few months as well.

if bluray takes off, i'll buy one, if there is game so amazing for it and exclusive to that console then i'll get one too, otherwise, won't bother. I keep hearing bad things about it, and it frustrates me that sony have been so arrogant about the whole thing. HOWEVER, i think competition in the gaming market is important so despite all that, i don't want sony ps3 to completely fail as it's important the xbox has a main competitor like that.

The thing that made the ps2 so great imo was the amazing game base that it had, and all of the exclusive games that it had. Graphics wise betwen the xbox and ps2 i cant really tell the difference. However sony have lost/sold so many of its exclusive contracts now its not an issue anymore. I mean what were they thinking letting grand theft auto go to xbox? Microsoft would never sell halo to sony. I admit in the past i have been a sony fanboy and would never have dreamt of getting an xbox. However the more errors sony make and the fact i can get lots of my favourite games that i have followed from the start on ps2 on xbox now, plus the stupid price of the ps3 are seriously making me consider the 360. Something i would have never said a year ago.
