And for my next trick...

  Clio 1.2 16v
Hello, current browser-of/soon-to-be-owner-of-when-the-cash-is-right a Clio 1.2 16v for my first car (would of been a 1.4 16v but I lost my job due to the current credit situation :dapprove:)

I told myself i'd keep modifications simple as it's a small engine with few power gains to be had, but after browsing this forum I know i'm going to end up spending way too much on the car!

I haven't really looked into Clios before, so a there's a lot of learning for me ahead. I haven't actually seen a bad looking/riced Clio on here yet, which is suprsing with todays YOOF.

Briefing over! :rasp:

Welcome, i will start the list of what you will be told, RS Grille, Silvervisions, Lower it slightly and make sure it is on nice wheels!

  ITB BG 182
plus having a 1.2 is better on fuel and you can do all the mods like suspension, brakes and save up for a 2.0 engine conversion

I'm from Stroud area if you know it, few miles from Gloucester.

No need to worry about Lexus lights or plasti-chrome spinners, i'm a qualitywh**e! If money allows i'd like some AST coilovers and the compulsory Speedlines :D.

How i'd love a 2.0L conversion, but it will come with time. Gotta get used to driving fast in a 1.2L first!

stroud is larger than you think lol.

i live out towards the forest (but am not inbred or retarded) but work in quedgeley so am in stroud all the time with callouts and stuff.

shouldnt worry about ast's on a 1.2, just get some cheaper coilovers and save the pennies for when you can afford to insure a 1*2.

what colour is the car? and is it a phase 1 or 2? if its a phase one, fancy making yours into a lookalike 172 ;)

  Clio 1.2 16v
Stroud is the centre of the universe! :rasp: Glad to hear you're not one of the funny forest folk, had to put up with one day in, day out during my training! :dapprove:

I haven't got the car yet, still fiddling with getting compensation from the company that binned me (I was made redundant during my apprenticeship, and they're taking ages with payment).

Any recommendations on what year/phase of 1.2 16v Clio I should go for? (I'm not up to speed with the phase 1, phase 2, 172, 182, etc ) and while i'm at it, any colour recommendations? (Not too good with factory colour names mind you!)

Parts will be chosen based on what I can afford, hopefully, with any luck i'll find a few grand in the glovebox and treat myself to some Sachs or something  Dream on kiddo :p
