Good day today. Sailed through the MOT with no advisories and I bagged an end of line Bluetooth head unit from Halfords (and lazily got them to install it...). Decat will be on later this week as I’ve ordered the downpipe to cat fitting kit, just rear section to get and it’ll all get put on.
Tried a Corbeau Revolution XL for size and perfect but way too expensive so will see how the Clubsport XL fits before ordering.

Decat fitted today and new rear box. Not too loud until you hit 4k and even then it’s a nice howl without being silly noisy. Feels slightly less strangled too which probably shows how bollox’d the old cat was rather than any massive gains.
Seats next - treat from the wife

No warning lights so far - they replaced an o2 sensor as one was broken. I’ve kept the cat for MOT purposes in future too. It’s tired but it passed the last test.
Wife has authorised the seats - who am I to turn her down...?

Mixed day. Finished a quick enhancement and coating detail on Mother in Law’s car and then set about fitting the replacement bumper I found for mine. Absolute asshole of a job, fighting rusty bolts and stupid clips instead of nuts. And then it didn’t match on one side lol. Hey ho, at least I know how it comes off now!

XL mate - tried one for size thanks to @iyrix yesterday and fits like a glove. Ordering a pair of JonFoz low frames too but leaving passenger seat sliding to allow access to the back seat. Can’t wait!

Not a massive update but my favourite road is open again after almost 3 months of drainage work. Took this on my way to work as I though it looked a bit arty and stuff lol.

And in other news another Renault is joining the fleet as Mrs Coops has got herself a Kadjar. Good spec and will do the family stuff we need too. Picking up next weekend and then into the shop for some detailing.

At last! Quick trip round the M25 last night to pick this up from @Mbeau - thoroughly decent bloke with a very nice collection of RS’s. Fitted in 10 minutes and I’m a very happy bunny.
In other news, my seats are now scheduled for July delivery and I’ve got me a new daily - more on this over the next few days; polar opposite of the 172....

I bought from Corbeau as they are literally around the corner from where I live... dates were constantly changing and that was with me owing into the shop/warehouse to order them ?

You can adjust the tilt on the seats. But it's a bolt job...

Looking good mate. Let me no how you get on with the access to rear seats when you have the club sports fitted. Want something similar for mine but want use of the rear seats so my 6 year old can still get in the back.

So I’ve got me a new daily - the Saab was showing its age and sub 25mpg is fine when it’s fun. With the wife now having the family wheels I decided to downsize as frankly I drive to and from work plus the odd trip out so I needed something frugal and fun. Enter the Fiesta 1.0 Zetec S - already achieving 50-55mpg, all the toys I need and it’s not bad in the fun stakes either. I’ve spent the last 2 days sorting the cosmetics and looking like I want it to. No plans to mod, map or piss about with it - it does exactly what I want so smiles all round.

Big day on the car today. And another huge thanks to @iyrix once again for sweating his nuts off ?seats are in, mounted on Jon Foz subframes, 16mm spacers up front and PMS 10mm stub axle at the back. Oil change and all done.
Seating position is pretty much perfect and handling now smack on point for me. I’m really pleased with the latest round of upgrades.
Next is getting her back on the rollers to see whether my missing horsepowers have returned.

Thanks Steve. To be fair, I’ve covered less than 40 miles so far but no issues at all. Very supportive indeed and enough padding for me at 6’2” and over 17 stone...
Plan to use the car a bit more over the next couple of weeks to get a better feel for them ?

Here’s my first impression after not driving my Fiesta for a few days - took me 20 minutes to get comfortable! Pretty shocked TBh as I thought it would be the other way round.
