I'm not doubting it'll be quicker! Just that 180 hp seems like a bit of fairy dust has been added to that figure on their site somehow!

You took 2 seconds off the 0-60 time by adding 50bhp?! Thats pretty good!

Although i agree with gumby, 35bhp is more realistic for a remap on the vag tdi lump.

Why is expecting 50 bhp gains a bit optimistic for a 1.9 TDI??

I have a Golf 1.9 GT TDI PD150 and after Jabba re-map it made 202bhp and 460 nm torque, That was rollered on a dastek road which are probably the best and most accurate so thats a 52 bhp hike its not rubbish at all these diesels especially the GTTDI PD Engines tune up really well.

But what I will say is that you will not see 18 bhp gains from a map or chip on a N/A car like the 172/182 more like 5-6 unless its turbocharged the gains are small!

I have just bought a Clio DCI 100 BHP for my wife so Im now frequenting the boards, and I have angel tuning coming next week to put her up to a garanteed 130bhp or my money back and I totally believe them as I have seen it before.

I have a 1.9TDi that has been chipped, i have no idea on figures as they are all rubbish but it goes like a stink now over it's previous un-chipped state, not 50bhp though I doubt as it's not as quick as my Ph-quick by any means.

Mine started life as a 110 or 130, not sure as the log book and VW paper work conflict!

its easy enough to get 180 out of a 130 pd but say goodbye to the clutch !

Torque kills clutches not hp, if you do the map correctly you can stay well within limits

i know the hp doesnt kill the clutch but tbh the ammount of torque that goes along with a a 180bhp pd tdi is quite high ok you could try shifting it along the rev range to try damp the ammount thats getting chucked at the clutch when taking off but then
whats the point get a better clutch

With 460 NM Torque my clutch lasted 4 months! lol

I also have miltek system with de-cat

I have a Sachs Clutch on it now cost a fortune but Is rated to something stupid like 600 nm!!

I have run a 1/4 mile in 14.2 @ 96mph which is pretty impressive for an oil burner beat a few civic type R's up the strip but I also get 45 mpg!!

I would really rate re-maps they totally transform the car.

Im hoping Angel are as good as Jabba and revo and make my wifes DCI 100bhp Clio a bit more fun!!
