Lol. I actually find the std seats okay, but bucket seats are a lot better. Like you say more connected.

More progress yesterday, fitted the coilovers to the car, rear went without a hitch, set 20mm up from bottom thread each side.

The fronts were a nightmare. Had to get the plasma cutter out and chop the drivers coilover in half that was on the car lol it was seized solid, luckily the heat expansion helped with undoing the top mount nut, hard to explain but either way it worked, people overtightening bolts and cheap coilovers rotting to bits is all I will say..

Either way the car is on spax rsx full coilovers front and rear and is absolutely transformed [emoji108] but coming from budget coilovers with one dead rear shock and one absolutely goosed front coilover explains that.

Unfortunately me being me set the car to full hero spec, 5 clicks off hard...

This resulted in me going round the first roundabout backwards lol 2 degrees and wet roads with hard semi slicks would have also contributed but front and rear are now near enough middle setting on stiffness now and seems a lot more usable on roads. Comfortable enough for me anyhow.

Couple of quick pics, didn't get any while fitting due to being stressed with fronts. Will get some better pics when set up and aligned by a proper place..

Cars getting better and better [emoji108] still got a few things to do before end of march, brakes and allignment next.

In terms of these Coilovers, I know you've not been out on track with them yet, but do you feel that they would be a great "Just Track Car" setup.
I've just googled the price of them and Demon Tweeks have them at £653

I think these are a contender for me :smile:

Also why did you go with a Spax setup and not any of the others?

i chose the spax due to great reviews everywhere i read, these at demon tweaks work out just over £700 as theyre full coil over front and rear. they're the only others in the price bracket i could find with adjustable dampening, the gazs do but have bad reviews and the bilsteins are too soft from everywhere I've read and I've also seen some bad pics of cars leaning and coil springs rubbing against each other which i did not fancy.

i feel they would be an epic track set up for a car where you couldn't afford to go for AST or similar high end budget. they're soft enough for road use on medium hardness and on stiff the car doesn't move, but also doesn't like wet bends from my experience lol.

Gunna play about with it throughout the day see how I find it, hoping to find a decent set up, ideally need 4 matching semi slicks before hand as I currently have two michelins PS3 on back. Which will do but if funds allow I'm gunna buy some RSR or NS2r I think

Unusually today I actually cleaned the car! [emoji15]

Very strange for me but the power washer and cleaning products at my mates works are s**t hot so thought why not, car still comes up great, it's the cleanest one I've owned, only thing is the wheels are discolouring already so thinking back to anthracite or possibly flat black next? Hmm

Still need to get the passenger bucket seat in, but I'm on nights this weekend so won't be getting done till next week as I'm too lazy [emoji42]

Hopefully more updates soon, opinions?

Neighbour from over road has not seen my car some how And backed into it, bright blue car you'd think would he noticeable but oh well, hopefully pick up a second hand mondial wing cheaply..

No money ATM so started with free mods, got the car stripped out in the rear, then took it to scrap yard down road and it weighed in at 960kg as it is, with 1/4 tank and still on standard passenger seat, so still loads too lose yet!

Yes mate they're the RSX and they're bloody awesome

Iirc the ktr ones are made by spax but the old kit which retain the separate rear shocks and springs [emoji106]

Treat the car to some love today gave it a clean off some tyre shine and then my friend used some of this dealership wax from his work, come up nice, also gave him a lift cleaning his r32 ..

Yeah gunna order some Brembo HC plain discs through him, just a bit skint till payday everything will be done before hand, tyres and brakes and just ordered some oil & oil filter through opie oils [emoji106]

Discs have arrived today, awesome service from George next day delivery also ordered some plugs off him so get them done this weekend too fingers crossed so will crack on with the brakes tomorrow, also just been to Renault today for an oil filter and sump plug washer so can get it serviced too.

Cars then booked in at a local mechanics who run a 182 track car for allignment, going for -2 degree camber and setting the toe straight. Also bringing the back down ten mill, fitting braided lines and some ATE200 gold brake fluid, so after that I'm hoping the car drives good. No excuses on track then it's down to me haha [emoji849]

Also this happened this week..

Bit of a car day..

Had mates round today and got a few bits sorted on them, jobs for mine were Discs and Pads and Spark plugs.

Day started in typical fashion with rounded disc retainer screws so had to grind them out as couldn't find a chisel..

Think they needed changing???

Next the mintex 1155 pads which just needed a mill or two grinding off the edges to fit nice.

The plugs that were in it were bosch and the tips had fell off lol surprised it still ran so well, drastic improvement with the proper NGK plugs in.

Got this trouble code up intermittently though which is frustrating? Think I've caught a wire for the throttle body or something need to investigate it.
