Just thought I'd share my headlight correction experience.
Just thought I'd share my headlight correction experience.
My headlights were terrible and have bugged me since buying the car so finally got around to fixing it.
As you can see their awful!!
Was going to buy meguiars headlight kit but thought I'd give the wet n dry a go seen as I already had everything needed.
All done by hand. I did 1200, then 2500, then g3 scratch remover, then bit of mer polish. Took just over an hour on drivers side. Passengers side I cut down to around 45 due to time constraints.
Spent the longest time on 1200 stage.
This is after sanding. As it's still wet it looks brilliant and as good as new.....
Until you dry it off......
Big panic. Lol. Looks worse than before.... But once started to use g3 panic over.
That's after g3 and a quick polish. Very happy now. They ruined the look of the car before.
One here of top half after sanding and bottom half after sanding and g3. G3 really finishes it.
May do them again in future but for now I'm more than happy.
No mate. Done it literally as described in the post. Just wet n dry.Did you use any kind of compound with the grades?
Or just wet n dry
looking to do mine soon...
Thanks mate [emoji3] Nothing too exciting in my thread.[emoji5] Will be doing a few more bits soon though to tidy it more. Would love to change the steering wheel, seats and gear shifter. [emoji106]Looks great the turnaround, did you seal the finish with anything mate? I done mines in September but with 3m kit, they came out well at the time but have since appeared to haze over again recently Just had a wee look thru your project, car looks tidy, love LY clios
