Another Newbie

Hi all, I'm Bernie a veteran driver compared to most of you I guess, just gone past my 58 birthday and still in mid life crisis. I've always been a petrolhead since I used to live on Silverstone cct. years ago when I was a boy and had my first track day courtesy of my dad at 9years old. My dad used to be a farmer there in the 50's but later the race track was developed into motor sport heaven and the farm disappeared. I now live in sarf Essex and have been trackdaying for some years now in various cars, which brings me to my next little project, I'm looking for a cheap Clio 172 and have no preferences for colour trim, a/c, CD/radios etc. A cheap tatty car thats needs work would be ideal, I've been wielding a spanner for many a year now. Any car you know about for sale circa £2k.

For that sort of money I would suggest a ph1, also known as a phquick. These are the pre facelift Mark 2 shape;

But for 2k you are looking at something that needs work I would suggest. Or a high mileage example.
