another rattling cup!help

anyone help with this please???
i had my lambda sensor changed a few weeks back and ever since i have had this strange and really annoying rattling noise , it sounds like its coming from behind dash board or below the passenger seat ..the only way to describe is is like metal rattling on metal , normally when i slow down - just wondering when the lambda is fitted do they have to unbolt any parts of the exhaust?? or could it just be the baffles going on the standard rubbish exhaust?

Heat shielding on the manifold has come loose when they did the lambda.

Rattle should be happening as you decelerate, at around 4k revs?

Take it back to renault, say they caused it, their problem, they'll fix it.

the upstream 02 sensor connector clipps onto the rear of the subframe by the passenger footwell if its not clipped on. it will get fried by the exhaust manifold seen this happen on a trophy that had been to the bodyshop and not put back together properly, worth a look

Is it most noticable on the over run? Sounds like you might have a case of the 4k rattle.

its always when im decelerate , its like a humming noise , really annoying! i can deal witht the 1000 other renault rattles but this one is awful! best go back to renault and tell them to fix it...do they ever get anything right???

Real buzzy noise? it was on mine

Be warned my back box began to blow and fell off shortly after I started getting the 4k rattle.

Never really found out what exactly was causing the problem - I went to K-tec and had a sports cat and cat back exhaust system fitted; and the rattle stopped! lol

Thinking about it they did fit a nice shiny new heat shield IRRC - might have been the rattle

ia hve been looking at ktec - which exhaust do you have? and any piccies? im thinking about just getting new system

I did have a K-tec stealth - but got rid as it was too boomy for my liking (the sports cat prob increase resonance a bit). I believe they have revised the design since then though
