anoying thing on my 182

after getting these led bulbs set now every time i take the key out of the igintion i have to ebter my code for the stereo and i have to renter the time,

why ???
its starting to annoy me help please

Have you connected the wires the wrong way around? Ie the red and yellow? is is an after market radio?

this was the case on my mum's Megane, red and yellow needed swapping over.

all i have done is tryed to fit these led bulbs (interior, glove box etc)

Could possibly be your battery, does the car start ok?

im woundering if ive blew a fuse that stores the memory as i may of short circuited it as i used a screw driver to remove the glove box light

No, radio would not work if fuse went.

Something is killing the power to the radio, probably when you start the car.

I would remove the LED bulbs, and try again..

if not, take it back to renault.

Sounds weird . As you already know you only usually have to re-enter your code when you've disconnected your battery .

Try putting the original bulbs back in , see if it makes any difference .

Like Fubar says , could be your battery . But you wouldn't think that LEDS would drain the battery . I've heard of cases were the glove box light doesn't always turn off cos of the badly fitting door .

UCH.....,these little circuit boards control lights/wipers etc. Take them out, and i bet the fault goes. Apparently there was a renault tech note about LED washer jets believe it or not....... Apparently on some clios it blocked the rev signal, so the limiter didn't work. Booom, over revved engine failure!!!!

uch's are the control circuits for lights, wipers etc. They are located behind the dash. The idea is to cut down on how many wires are used in the loom of the car. They can be problematic, causing indicators to malfunction etc. Bet these led lights are screwing the signals up, as said there was a renault tech note about led washer jets causing wierd faults. Do a search

every thing on the car is perfect bar the clock resetting and the radio asking for the code every time i get in the car

Was the fault there when normal side lights were in? Yes. When you put the led lights in, the fault appeared? Yes. The clue is there somewhere. Take them out.

none of them worked any how so the original ones are back in, but now i have them faults,
and noticed 2 more faults the glove box light only comes on if the headlights are on , and the interior light will not work with out the key in the ignition :dapprove:

If it's still not right with the original bulbs back in and it's still under warranty take it back to the dealership . I wouldn't mention anything about fitting LEDS if you do

Glove box light only works with headlights on.
Sounds like you have blown a fuse, does the cigarette lighter still illuminate?

Check your fuses, if there ok theres a problem with your LCM (light control module) Disconnect your battery and leave it for 10 mins connect it up, this should hopefully fix it, if not take it back to renault and get them 2 have a look at it.
