Anthracite wheel touch up.

I know this subject has been posted a lot, but stick with me I may have the solution to the anthracite paint problem.

I have been trying to get the proper touch up for the anthracite wheels for ages, but with no success. So after trying loads of paintshops, car supplies, and even Renault etc...I thought I would give Ixell (Renault paint suppliers) a ring see if they could help. They put me in touch with a very helpful Ixell technician, who confirmed the code that Fred posted a while back of 205-110 is the match for anthracite wheels.

The technician is also going to get a Ixell paintshop to test mix some up tomorrow, and check it against the Ixell colour database. If all is good he will put me in touch with a Ixell trade supplier who will be able to make some small "touch up" pots up.

So with a bit of luck I should be able to get hold of the proper paint match for anthracite wheel touch up's . I'm more than happy if this comes off, to get some and send out to those who wants some.

FRED, £50 per wheel what do you actually do?

Do you sort out the chewed rims etc for that?

Thinking of having a set of 172 alloys done in anthracite.

Is the finish as good as standard.

better than steve, we can fix the worst "female'd" wheels no problem

we acid dip the wheel, then shot blast it
then all scuffs are filled and dressed
the wheel is then baked at 200degC for 30min
then it is powder coated (like spray painting, but without solvents)
wheel is rebaked
then lacquered

I managed to ruin the rims you did for Bens car without any female intervention.

They may require you specialist 'touch-up' technique you're famous for.
