My neighbours Moto G5 has got itself stuck in a splash screen boot loop.
I can get to the recovery mode but when I try and apply an update of what looks to be identical firmware (CEDRIC_RETEU_SS_8.1.0_OPP28.85-19-4-2_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml) via ADB, I get 'E:Signature verification failed' and I can't find anywhere on Motorolas site to download original firmware, or bypass the signature check.
The end goal is to get the photos off it rather than fix the phone, which aren't on an SD Card, they're on the phone's local storage.
