Hi guys need abit of a hand here. Im after this bad boy, it looks ok, but to be honest Im not good with the whole spec of computers, only how to use them!!

not terrible by any means, prob get better pc for the money you spend on it though if you weren't using sony i mean

Can you recommended anything? Ive heard if you build your own PC you can get amazing products for half the price. But the chances of me building a PC, is like me climbing K2. :star:

well mate, how much are you gonna be paying for the above. I'll tell you right now there is likely to be a load of people on here who would do it for you, i'd consider it myself but your in scotlan so would be a bit of a hassle. However there are some good deals in certain places on custom built pc's but having a budget is essential

One above is 1800 I believe? abit steep? To be honest, no price just want a s**t hot computer! Ive use my computer mostly for music. Believe I've got over 23 days of music, if i where to just let it all play

You pay for the style rather than the spec with these. If this is going in your lounge as a multimedia unit rather than a straight PC and you are willing to pay out the cash then go for it. If you want it just for a PC I wouldn't go near it as you could get a similar spec for a hell of a lot less. It will look like a PC though.

V2 or V3? If you are just upgrading from that and are happy with your previous one then go for it. Although the LT2 is due out this month so you may want to hang on for that. The price of the LT1 may drop when it is out too.

well take a look at somewhere like here, i can appreciate the cases might not be exactly what you're after but your looking at double the performance possible better. For that kind of money you can get the very very best tbh.

I did'nt realise that these machines can be upgraded? as the hardrive, any the other bits and bobs are all together. Can't remember what V it is, ill check when Im home!

Yes you can upgrade the RAM to 4GB on the LT1. If you have the V3 it only comes with 512MB RAM (2x256MB), I think the V2 was the same. This can only be upgraded to 1GB (2x512MB) max. I would think about upgrading the machine rather than the memory as it is getting on a bit now.
