Any issues removing the bulkhead sound deadening on a ph1?

As you can see in my project thread the sound deadening is getting pretty tatty and you can see the extent of the problem here

I imagine on a ph2 its slightly less of an issue as theres no throttle cable going above the manifold, anyone had any issues with this? TBH it seems hotter under there since fitting the 182 manifold and decat but I dont really know why!

Cheers for any advice

Take it out, run a heat sheild in front the pipes to protect it from the heat. Looks much more neat.

There are 3 studs on the bulkhead which you can secure the heat sheild on with.

I bought some heat resistant metal/material stuff from Merlin Motorsport over at Castle Combe and put that on instead. Looks better and I can easily take it off to replace the throttle cable and clutch cable (which I seem to do quite often with my Ph1).
