Any mk2 v6's under £15k

  Golf R soon...
Been looking at mk2 v6's on the net. I think I could handle a 15k loan for one :)

Are there any under £15k at the moment?

Not really in a hurry to get one, looking over the course of the year!

Got a loan out for the 182, still owe a far bit on the 182 still so I would be buying it with another loan no part ex

I live with parents so the car is my only real debt.

People are getting loans all the time for cars, why is mine so bad?

Should lose to much on a v6 as they are rare

Seriously though it probably won't be for another six months. I am on secondment on another department in my company at the moment and hopefully at the end of it I will be offered a permanent job and a decent pay rise then I will think about getting a vee.

Sound info Mikie! Must admit

I would love to own a crazy car, even if its only for a year or so!

Good thing with the Vee is that it would probably keep the majority of its value as they are quite rare.

Hi Daz- The words negative equity spring to mind-

Dont buy it- your be in debt for at least 4 years-

Do the math-
Lets say you borrow 12k- which im guessing wont be far off what you want-

Over 4 years you are looking at around 325 per month-
Spending around 14.5 to pay back the loan-
that leaves you 2.5k out of pocket-

Then theres the residual value-
Buying a mk2 vee for 15k gives you a blue one with average to high miles-
in three years your looking around 9k tops-

that gives you a net loss of around 8.5k-

Plus insurance, Plus maintenaince ( Coming out of warrenty )
1k for the Cam belt-

Kiss goodbye to around 11/12k in the 3 years matey-

Keep the 182- save your money-
buy a flat- The women cant sleep in the vee can they- but they can sleep in a nice bed in a nice flat.... even if it is rented!!!

As for Nath above- You must be in a minority-
there are masses of people that would love to move out & cant afford it-

^^^^Wise words Steve.

Although i do sometimes wish i didn't have such a big mortgage, normally when i live a Mitsubishi/Lotus garage lol.

Cheers-

Ive had to compromise- Ive just sold the Vee ( say goodbye to her tomorrow) this was to extend the lease on my flat-
Id rather keep the car- but the flats more important-

Any time you think a car is worth having more than a flat- remind yourself how many times you thought to yourself-
I wish i had a flat to take this Girlie back to- rather than thinking-
Tip toe up the creeky stairs without trying to wake your mum & dad up-

Car = Poseabilty
Flat = kudos & respect
