Any one elses air bag connected to there dash?

my air bag seams to be connected to my dash underneath, is anyone elses?

the passenger one? yeah.....

they pop out the dash when deployed

im trying to remove my dash but it wont budge because it seams to be connected to the airbag.

ah ha, yeah the top of the dash hooks into it

i found the dash got caught on the airbag.
I ended undoing the four airbag screws and removing both then reshaping the bent air bag catches where the thin metal had bent slightly and caught the dash hooks

I had that problem, Dash hooks into them flimsy metal catchs behind the airbag! Good quality Renault design for you!

i consulted a mechanic about takeing the air bag out and he that if you dissconect it, it will have to go on a diagnostics machine.

well i un pluged my bag and it seems to be ok..
I think it might be on the record though in the cars memory..
can i delete it by removing the battery for a while??
