Any std. 172 owner removed the spare wheel?

Will it effect the driving a lot? Faster?
Will the front be too heavy?
Front/Rear ratio will have big difference?

of just the wheel you wont notice to much difference if you take the back seats out to you may notice some difference

no differnece at all...only weighs bout 4 kilos if you have spare alloy, toolkit only wieghs about 1 kilo..prob the equivalent to a 1/4 tank of fuel

  Ph-Sold!
Fuel weights 40+kg, but the wheel/tyre weighs a lot more than 4kg too

Took spare out of my old MK2 Ph1 1.2 and it made no difference at all so I wouldn't bother unless you're going for 1/4 miles

It weighs about 15kg with a tyre. Not insignificant, but doubtful whether you'd actually notice it save for on the strip.

What's the specific gravity of petrol? 0.7 ish? So about 35kg for a full tank?

All I know is the 172 spare is about as heavy as an alloy can get. lol. Big chunky f*****s lol.

don't 4get to carry a can of tyre weld if you take it out. The voice of experiance says you'll get a flat on a country road in the back of beyond:dapprove:

.......then you sound like a real prat when yer tellin the AA why you don't have it:eek:
