Anyone able to help?

  LY 182 FF CUPPED
Bought and fitted some VIBE SEk 50"s in my 182 today.
I feel they don't quite fit right.

Have screwed them in as tight as possible , however there seems to be a 2 - 3mm gap all round!
Does this mean I need a spacer??....I guess this will affect the sound won't it??

I know from old speakers usually require a "closed' seal in order to perform at their best.

You can always use double sided spongy sticky tape...

I dont know the technical term for it... but it comes with most new speakers... to ensure an exact fit...

yeah just use that spongy tape you get for fitting underneath a subwoofer. just ask at an audio shop or halfords! i guess any spongy tape would do really.

the gap is to thick for tape.

looking at it again tonight it feels like 5mm....little finger thick

if you in the area Chris pop by and I will show you in the week.
