anyone do HTML websites?

for a project at uni we have to make an html website. not using any programs or aids. just pure code writing.

my part in the team is to come up with the layout/arty farty bit.

thing is i dont know what restrictions there are with just using html layout-wise.

can anyone help me get an idea? maybe some example websites?

if you can use CSS aswell then it could be worth trying to implement that into the design, some minimalistic and easy designs can be made with pure code just by using a bit of css:

^ uses css yet they are all basic templates all which can be easily achieved with basic coding.

Its not hard to make a good looking site without css.. nested tables is the order of the day..
