Anyone done an led conversion?

Hey all, am in progress of doing and led conversion Atm I've done all but speedo & air con

Anyone know of a decent soldering iron, bought one for £10 and as predicted it's rubbish, seems to burn the chip and led, anyone know if u need a temp control one for working on chips?

i changed mine with 15w antex one with an angled bit

was just enough to melt the solder but not the led
