Anyone ever turbo`d a 172??

Just a thought!!

It would make an insanely rapid car but what would it be like with 250+bhp,too much for it??

Yep there are a few turbo'd 1*2s.

K-tec do a kit. Expensive though

You don't know what ITB's are but you run/organise trackdays! :S There not unique to clio's! Most Track cars/Race and single seaters run them! Keep up!

I have never heard the term ITB before,honestly!!

I know what throttle bodies are and was almost putting some on on of my pugs until i though that maybe a 220+bhp MI16 engine might not be that reliable!

But hands in the air ive never heard the term ITB,so cut me some slack its christmas,well it was

supercharging is the way forwards! you really need a set of 888's to put the power down. wouldn't even bother if it was wet lol

Ditch the dodgy skirts and intake manifold cover and then mount the intercooler level and that'd be a nice car with nice power!

I doubt there's a TB's 172 that does either!

if fitted and mapped correctly, there is no reason why it shouldnt be any less reliable than a standard 172.

Can't see a turbo one ever being reliable to be honest, there just not meant to be!!

As for the ITB's, i was unsure about reliability, but was assured correctly mapped it would be as reliable as a standard setup.

I suppose if you rag the b****cks off it everyday then other stuff will break / wear out sooner!!

I'd be spraying the intercooler black on the K-tec old one if i was to buy it, It stands out like a saw thumb hidden is better doesnt show the car has power then :evil: Its a bit pricey though
