There aftermarket exhaust (center box) hitting on speed bumps when the car is lowered?

Mines -40mm on apex and im thinking of a powerflow custom jobby but when the bloke quoted me he didnt want to fit a center box, even they're smallest, because it would scrape when going over speed bumps.

Is this a problem with anyone elce?

wouldn't be surprised if it's a problem on some cars as the centre boxes of a lot of aftermarket exhausts hang lower than the OE one which is built up into the exhaust tunnel

Magnex which uses a round center section so not the best for ground clearance, was lowered -30mm or so.

best bet is probably in asking them to use as flat an oval box as poss, and have skid plates welded either end

I've had no probs either.

I've got a ktec stealth, lowered on H&R's about 50mm.

Yeah powerflow use a round middle box as well.

I'll try and get the flattest middle box i can.

Powerflow do a bullet box for this kind of thing, had one on my valver!
