anyone had a renewal with bell??

just wondered what they are like for price matching other companies.

ive got a feeling Bell are going to want around £1300-1500 renewal, when i know i can get it for £980 at the most (from directline)

anyone managed to get them to price match?

Tbh, i would rather be with directline than bell mate.

Give Aplan a try as theyre very competitive and the service seem to be good.

try Ashbourne insurance 08704 608050 they were a very very good price for me today.

its not up for renewal just yet, think its end of june'ish.

problem is, i dont think i'll have the clio for a full year.. and directline wont even quote me on the car i want next. dont want to be stuck here in 9 months time having to cancel my insurance and lose out on nearly a years no claims..

Is it one of the cars (your looking to repalce the clio with) that UKI have placed an age limit on???

I know VX220s and elise are over 25s only for example and this is across all UKI underwritten companies.

bell have price matched my best quote for the last 3 years..
they keep putting it up, I keep telling them i can get it for £200 less, they ask which company, I tell them, "please hold sir", "yes, we can match that price". Its a June ritual for me.

im sure if you insure your clio with directline then change your car 9months down the line theyll still insure you but just charge a bit extra (even if they wouldnt normally insure you on that car)
because i remember something similar when i went from my punto to the saxo. changed halfway through the year and they added a bit extra price but when it came to renew they said they wouldnt insure me as i had to be over 21 so i said 'nut youve just insured me on it ?'. they just said it was to keep the business for the year.
