I'm trying to establish whether my old diff is actually the issue in the gearbox I have removed.
Could you turn the diff while the box is in neutral and tell me whether there is a slight clicking noise or if it is completely smooth and silent?
Could be a silly question, but someone has suggested this is normal for a dry box.
