My girlfriend seen this ph2 172 for sale just wondering if any one can shed any light on it.whether any 1 on here has owned it an whether its a shed or not?

The day I got it

When I sold it (after 6 weeks) it needed 2 new driveshafts, 1 new wishbone and balljoint, poss subframe, full service, timing belt, new climate control pack, full respray with dents removed, renewed suspension and bushed all round and then it would be mint! Oh and a new bonnet release cable!

When I got it it had 57k on it and the camblet was well overdue, also hadnt been serviced in 2 years so if it has been done then it was clsoer to 60k and 6 years.

I think one of the owners after me was a painter so he resprayed it, if it drives straight now then it means the subframe has been done as well.

5 owners is not accurate as I 4th and I know of at least 3 or 4 but heard of another couple, maybe not registered in their names.

However £2500 tells a big story in my book, walk, no run away very quickly!

Thats why I sold it Timmay! I picked it up for £3k pretty much exactly 2 years ago knowing it needed work (prices then were about £6k for the year. Everytime I fixed something something else would break! Was a complete money pit, however I sold it 6 weeks later for £3700

I went to look at that car in harrogate about 5 weeks ago, seemed to go alright and body work seemed really good. But seats were rough, needed 4 new tyres or would have done very soon, tracking looked to be out. You could just tell it hadn't been looked after. If it's still at harrogate he was going to take 2600 5 weeks ago so I bet he would go lower than 2500.

Just seen the ad, it hasn't done 75k either it was reading 78200 5 weeks ago, could just be a typo.

MMM interesting, so the boot was ok? And the bit abover the rear side driverside window? Defo must have been sprayed in that case.

Did it drive straight? I put a new driverside wishbone on (or rather dave did for me) got it tracked but it was so far out that the guy said more was bent!

Yeh it drove straight, and the bodywork was probably the best thing about it, hardly even any stone chips.

Aye a full respray then!, it was scratched down both sides, usual stonechips and had bike carrier dents in the boot
