anyone know how to fix an external hard drive?

I dropped it and now it just sort of clicks...like when a cd is too scratched to play. I have opened it up and theres the discs there with an arm that sort of touches them(some sort of reading device?) anyway, it spins up to speed then this arm just moves backwards and 'clicks' every few seconds. Any ideas or where if possible I could get it sorted? Any help greatly appreciated!:S

Chuck it in the bin...

Opening it probably did more damage than dropping it.

opening it you've prob wrecked it unless you were in a totally dust free enviroment which chances are that you wernt

Once it starts clicking its usually f*cked. My Freecom external 400GB hard drive did it after 1 month. All gone.
